The purpose of the visit was to discuss research collaboration and provision of dental outreach services to underserved communities in Nanyuki. The team was accompanied by Mr. Stephen Mnasya who is based in Daraja girls in Nanyuki. There was discussion on the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the School of Dental Sciences, Department of Periodontology Community and Preventive Dentistry and New York University, USA.
The Dean, Chairmen of Departments, Staff and Students of the School of Dental Sciences underwent a Disaster Management Sensitization program conducted by facilitators from National Disaster Management Center, National Counter Terrorism Centre and University Security Officers.
